Biography

Bruno Geremias was born in 1993 in Campinas, Brazil. He started his musical studies with the violin at the age of eight, with teacher Angela Baracchini from the Federal University of Santa Maria - RS. At the age of 13, he began studying the viola at the Unicordas Unicamp Project, under the direction of violinist Alexandre Chagas of the Unicamp Symphony Orchestra, aimed at children and adolescents. In 2009 he was invited to be part of the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatory Carlos Gomes.

In 2012 Bruno was accepted at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) to graduate in viola in the room of prof. Dr. Emerson De Biaggi. During his studies he participated as a principal viola at the Festival of International Opera of the Americas under the conductor of conductor Michael Borowitz of LSU Opera, in 2013. And as a principal viola and concert violin in the Unicamp Community Orchestra. And also as a viola assistant at the Concertante Academy, under the direction of conductor and soloist Daniel Guedes. After graduating from the baccalaureate, he decided to improve his knowledge by taking part in the most varied tests of professional orchestras such as Osesp and Filarmônica de Minas, to gain experience.

In 2016 he joined the Municipal Orchestra of Jundiaí-SP where he stayed for 3 years, and studied ancient and baroque music in São Paulo with prof. Juliano Buosi, who has been playing and studying for 13 years in Europe with big names like Jordi Savall.

In 2018 he began to act as an assistant and principal viola in the Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica de Valinhos-SP where he remains until this moment. In his spare time Bruno acts as a composer, arranger and teacher.
