Biography
VITTORIO BENAGLIA, violist
Born in 1999. Student of Anna Serova in Accademia L. Perosi (Biella) and Alexander Zemtsov. He took part in several courses and masterclasses with Danilo Rossi, Bruno Giuranna, Francesco Fiore, Wilfried Strehle, Paul Silverthorne, Zakhar Bron. He performed as a soloist with various orchestras including, in Italy, 'I Musici di Parma', 'Solo d'Archi Ensemble' and 'Master Orchestra di Verona', in Germany with 'Eurasia Chamber Orchestra' at the Blackmore Academy in Berlin .
He has distinguished himself in numerous national competitions including ‘Premio Nazionale delle Arti’ and 'Premio Giovani Talenti, Vittorio Andretta di Padova'. In the international arena, he won the first prize at the “IV London International Music Competition”, "Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso", "New York Golden Classical Music Awards".
He has performed as a solo viola in concert halls like Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall in New York, Wiener Saal of Mozarteum in Salzburg and Madinat Theater in Dubai.
He has collaborated, as a chamber musician, with Divertimento Ensemble, Conductus Ensemble and Cesar Franck Quartet. He collaborates as a soloist and chamber musician with Livorno Music Festival, Spoleto Festival and with artists such as David Geringas, Marco Rizzi, Hugo Ticciati, Vittorio Ceccanti, Giovanni Riccucci, Gabriele Mirabassi, Ilio Barontini and Maria Grazia Bellocchio.
He has collaborated, as a chamber musician, with Divertimento Ensemble, Conductus Ensemble and Cesar Franck Quartet.
He recorded a cd in collaboration with Da Vinci Publishing of a program for viola and piano entirely dedicated to English music of the 1900s.
