Biography

Giuseppe Gibboni was born in Italy in 2001 and graduated in violin at the age of fifthteen years old at the Conservatory Martucci of Salerno with 10/10 Lode and Mention of Honor. Since 2015 he is student of Salvatore Accardo and Pavel Berman.

He won various competitions like: International Violin Competition “ L. Kogan” Bruxelles 2017; XXIII International Violin Competition A. Postacchini (First Prize and Special Prize for the Execution of the Paganini Caprices) 2016. In September 2018 he won the 3thrid prize at the G. Enescu International violin competition in Bucarest. Recently he won the First prize at 36º Valsesia International Music Competition. He has performed as a soloist in various prestigious theaters and halls like: Conservatory Tchaikovkj Mosca ; Teatro Dal Verme Milano ; Ambasciata Italiana di Mosca; Salle Royale Conservatory of Bruxelles and many others.

He performed live on television during the 7th World Meeting of Families in the presence of the Holy Father Benedict XVI in June 2012.

In November 2016 he won the RAI 1 Program in collaboration with UNICEF "Prodigies - Music is Life" and became the "Italian prodigies".

He has recorded CDs for Warner Classics. Since February 2018 he is a member of the SY-YO Music Society Foundation of New York.

He plays on a violin Giovanni Francesco Pressenda , Torino 1827 .
