Biography

 

Who's She?

Valeria Zanella, violin.

Musician and artist, born in 1992 in the region of Venice. She graduatued in violin at Rovigo Conservatory in her own region with full marks and honors. She studied then Chamber Music, graduating at Rovigo Conservatory with full marks and honors, taking lessons in the meantime at Conservatoire Royal de Mons/ ARTS² École supérieure des Arts de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles studying violin with M° Eliot Lawson. She attended masterclasses with M° Ilya Grubert, Dmitri Berlinsky and Augustin Dumay - who selected her as one of the best students to play in a Duo concert with Frank Braley. 

Valeria has won several scholarships, Prizes in National Music Competitions - Special Mention for the execution of the J. Hubay's Carmen Fantasy at "Premio Nazionale delle Arti" in Italy - and played as a Soloist and Chamber music partner in Italy, France, Switzerland and Belgium. She has played in the European Ensemble "PURPUR" in Austria, Croatia, Italy; during her studies, she has performed in several orchestras in Europe, China, Iran, Palestine, Israel and in halls like Quirinale Palace in Rome, Italian Embassy in Bruxelles, European Parliament. She collaborated then as violin partner with the Japanese "Showa Music Foundation". 

Valeria enjoys also writing her own pieces and arranging pieces for solo violin. Mauro Scardovelli described Valeria like a "Born Music Therapist", hearing her playing. She is now specializing with the great M° Dejan Bogdanovich.
