Biography

Emma Thomazeau, born in 1999 and native of France, started playing the harp at the age of six with professor Claire Le Fur in Saint Raphaël. She continued her studies with Cécile Bontron Maudire at the Conservatoire Régional de Cannes in 2014 and obtained in 2016 her Diploma of Musical Studies in Harp with honors.

At the age of 17, she enters at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne in the class of Letizia Belmondo and obtains, in June 2019, her Bachelor's degree with the highest distinction. She receives her Master's degree in Pedagogy in 2021. She is currently in Master Soloist and prepares many projects with the aim of perfecting her skills to share her passion.

Emma was given the opportunity to take masterclasses with great musicians such as Sylvain Blassel, Vincent Coq, Gabriella Dall'Olio, Marie Claire Jamet, MariePierre Langlamet, Julie Palloc, Nicolas Tulliez…

Since the beginning of her studies in Switzerland, she won the 1st prize at the 7th International Contest Felix Godefroid, the 3rd prize at the 7th International Harp Contest Suoni d'Arpa, the 1st prize at the French Harp Competition in Limoges and participated at the 11th USA International Harp Competition. Also, since 2020, she is a member of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes. She has been invited to play several recitals in Switzerland and France and has performed at the International Harp Days in the Caribbean. Finally, she obtained the position of harp teacher at the Montreux-Vevey-Riviera Conservatory since Septembre 2021.
