Biography

Philip Morris Huang, Polish/Taiwanese violinist, was born 1996 in Freiburg, Germany. He received his first violin lesson at the age of 6. When he was 8, he became a pupil of Prof. Jörg Hofmann at the University of Music in Freiburg. He was many times winner of first prizes in the competition “Jugendmusiziert” in Germany. 2009 he became a Scholarship for a master class from the foundation “Music & Young People” (Musik & Jugend) in Liechtenstein. At the age of 14 Philip entered the Academy for Promoting Gifted Young Musician in Freiburg, which offers top-notch pre-degree courses for highly talented young musicians (Violin class Prof. G. von der Goltz). Philip Huang has won the first prize at the music competition "The Muse" both in Solo and chamber music category. Furthermore he participated in many master classes for violin with such prominent musician like Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Prof. Z. Bron, Prof. I. Turban and Prof. Yair Kless. Since 2020 he's studying violin specialized performance soloist at the ZHdK in Zurich with Prof. Andreas Janke.
