France, Paris Île-de-France Piano
“A clever blending of strength and delicacy, of virtuosity and intelligence...”
The French pianist Florent Ling, born in Paris, is especially standing out with his exceptional musicality. His playing, though very personal, always reflects a deep respect for the composer's purpose and his text.
Florent studied with Prof. Bruno RIGUTTO at the Ecole Normale de Musique Cortot. He later studied with Prof. Hortense CARTIER-BRESSON at the Conservatoire de Paris, and now furthers his training at the "Hanns Eisler" Berlin, with Prof. Eldar NEBOLSIN. He has also honed his musicianship with many eminent international pianists, including Jean-Marc LUISADA, Jean-Efflam BAVOUZET, Kirill GERSTEIN, Pascal DEVOYON...
He regularly plays in solo recitals as well as chamber music all across France and Europe. In 2017, he was invited to tour in several countries in Asia, including Macau, Taiwan and China. He also gave a series of public masterclasses at the Conservatório de Macau.
His competition prizes include, among others, 1st Prize at the Verão Clássico Awards in Lisbon, 1st Prize and Audience Prize at the Concours International de Piano Claude Bonneton, 3rd Prize and Audience Prize at the Concours International Georges Cziffra, and 2nd Prize at the Concours International de Piano Nice-Côté-d'Azur. He is also a DAAD and ADAMI scholarships holder.
Along with his musician activities, Florent is also passionate about theater, and has studied Dramatic Arts in the Paris Conservatory.
