Dmytro Rudyk
Ukraine, Ternopil Ternopil Oblast Double bass
Biography
My name is Dmytro Rudyk. I’m a student of the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. I’m studying double bass with Professor Niek de Groot now. In the past I studied in musical college in Ukraine. Already during my studies I realized that my life will be connected with music and that I want to continue studying double bass in Germany. Based on this opinion, I have already achieved some success in this in the vocational school of music: first prizes in national competitions, participation in international competitions, solo concerts with philharmonic orchestras, participation in master classes with professors Wies de Boeve, Petru Iuga etc. I was the concertmaster of the double bass group in the Youth Orchestra of Ukraine with the conductor Oksana Lyniv. Also I participated in various international projects and concerts, received a scholarship from the Oskar und Vera Ritter-Stiftung. At this moment I’m working on recording my album.
When I started to study in Germany, I understood that it giving me a very high quality and extensive knowledge of playing the double bass in the class of my professor. I felt very professional in the educational process in general. At the same time I traveled to Ukraine, gave concerts at the Lviv Philharmonic and took part in touring concerts with the Bonn Classical Philharmonic in Germany. Thanks to a scholarship in the spring of 2021 I will have the opportunity to record my own album and organize concerts to distribute double bass music in Ukraine and Germany.
I believe that I have a strong sense of purpose, hard work and responsibility, which helps me prove my success at work. I am really happy, because I am constantly finding new motivations and examples to follow my talent and develop it further.
