Harald Edin

Biography

Hello, my name is Harald Edin and I am seventeen years old. I live on a small island outside of Gothenburg, Sweden, and except for playing the bass I love sailing and being out at sea. When I was eight years old I started studying with professor Ferdinand Lipa, who is the former principal bassist of the Gothenburg Opera, and he is still my teacher. I have played twice with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra as a price winner in the national youth competition Polstjärnepriset. Later this year I will also play Nino Rota Divertimento with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. I have participated in master classes with amongst others Bozo Paradzik, Rick Stotijn and Klaus Stoll.
