Biography
Giorgia Panasci, Art Director of the Experimental Music and Dance Review at EcuLab Classic in Palermo, began her studies at the “V. Bellini” Conservatory of Palermo, graduating with full marks in Harp in 2013. In 2016, under the guidance of Master Emanuela Degli Esposti, she obtained the Second Level Degree in Music Disciplines (Harp) with full marks, at the“ A. Boito” Conservatory of Parma, where she also obtained a Second Level Degree in Chamber Music with full marks and honors under the guidance of Master Leonardo Bartali.
As First Harp in the Italian Youth Orchestra of Fiesole, she perfected herself with the help of harp master Susanna Bertuccioli, as well as of Masters and Conductors Giampaolo Pretto, Daniele Gatti, Philippe Auguin, Maxime Pascal, Alain Meunier, Francesco Pasqualetti; at the same time she perfected her studies in Bucharest under the guidance of Master harpist Ion Ivan-Roncea.
She participated in several masterclasses with the following teachers: Sophie Hallynk, harp teacher at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music in Antwerp and at IMEP in Namur (Belgium); Ernestine Stoop, professor of harp at the Royal College of Music in the Hague and at Fontys High School of Music in Tilburg; Marco Guidarini, conductor; Ion Ivan-Roncea, professor of harp at the National University of Music in Bucharest; Ivan Rabaglia, violinist of the Parma Trio since 1990; Jekaterina Suvorova, harp teacher at the Latvian Musical Academy “Jazepa Vitola”; Ieuan Jones, professor of harp at the Royal College of London; Lorenzo Montenz osb and Emanuela Degli Esposti, harp teacher at the “Arrigo Boito" Conservatory in Parma.
In 2011 she collaborated with Master Composer Mario Modestini for the project and for the publication of the CD “FEDERICEA” (25/03/2011) forming the “Palatinum Trio” with musicians Wanda Modestini (cello) and Maurizio Maiorana (voice and flute).
On November 11, 2011 she performed the world premiere of "Arabicula" - Arabicula Suite, a Maestro Mario Modestini composition for harp, soprano (Letizia Colajanni) and orchestra, conducted by Maestro Martin Sieghart at the Theatre “Politeama Garibaldi” Theater in Palermo.
In 2018 she performed the Bb concerto by G.F. Haendel for harp and orchestra (transcription and original cadenza for harp by Marcel Grandjany) and the concerto in C major for flute, harp and orchestra KV 299 by W.A. Mozart (cadenza for harp and flute by Pillney) under the direction of Maestro Gaetano Colajanni.
She was awarded the “Universo Donna” International Award for the Young Talent Music Art sector at its XIV Edition, as well as a public acknowledgment during the national conference on "Young talents and perspectives in the vision of the Parliament of International Legality" issued by Prof. and President of International Legality Nicolò Mannino; she was also awarded the “Tessera Preziosa del Mosaico di Palermo” (“Precious Tessera of the Mosaic of Palermo”) by the Mayor of Palermo L. Orlando.
