Biography
The path of Brazilian pianist Pedro Sperandio has been marked by multicultural, outstanding academic environments (Bachelor at University of São Paulo with Eduardo Monteiro, Master at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Claudio Martinez-Mehner and Fabio Bidini, Diplôme de Concertiste at École Normale de Musique de Paris with Rena Shereshevskaya).
He has thus been able to take artistic advice from world renowned pianists such as Maria João Pires, Nelson Goerner, Jacques Rouvier, François-René Duchâble, Malcom Bilson, Sonia Rubinsky, Paulo Álvares, André Laplante and Cristina Ortiz.
Prize-winner of several piano competitions, he has performed extensively both as solo recitalist and chamber musician, with different formations such as the Lied Duo Heinecker-Sperandio (voice and piano with soprano Nicola Heinecker), Blanc et Noir-Duo (2 pianos with Anton Gerzenberg), the Shieh-Sperandio Duo (Cello and piano with Rogerio Shieh), the Rhein-Trio (cello and flute with Joana Gorenstein and Isaac Andrade), among others. He has also integrated the Ensemble Musikfabrik Köln (contemporary music) and collaborated with the Centre de Musique de Chambre de Paris.
During his yearly tours throughout Brazil and Europe has has been able to perform in important concert halls throughout the world, such as Salle Cortot (Paris), Palau de Musica Catalana (Barcelona), Sala São Paulo (Brazil), WDR Funkhaus (Köln), Sala Cecília Meirelles (Brazil), Goethe Institut and has worked with great conductors such as Marin Alsop, Victor Hugo Toro, Aylton Escobar, Flavio Florence, among others.
