Biography

Luiz Daniel Mendes Sales began to study the cello at the age of 11 with his sister Luciene Sales who guided him for eight months. From then on, he joined the Universidade Livre de Música (currently Tom Tomim Music Studies Center) and started to be guided by professor Luiz Hernani .When he was 12 years old, he was coached by Professor Gretchen Miller. At the age of 16, he won the young soloist award from the Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem de Guarulhos. - Juvenile at Escola Municipal Música in 2005 he became head of the youth orchestra of the Municipal School of Music. In 2007 he joined the OSESP academy where he took classes with cellist johannes gramch, at the academy he obtained masterclasses with cellists: Asier Polo, Tatjana Vassilieva, Jan Wang, Xavier Philips and Johannes Moser., He played as a cellist in the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra until 2017, Today at the age of 33 he develops solo work and chamber music in Salvador, Eio and São Paulo, he is a non-cellist in Bahia Symphony Orchestra since October 2017, Kol Nidrei in 2018 with the Bahia Symphony Orchestra with conductor Gustavo Fontana with the Symphony Orchestra of Bahia under the conductor of Guilherme Mannis the concert in A minor by Camile Saint-saens
