Anderson Santana

Biography

Anderson Santana is a cellist. He was born in Sao Paulo, Brasil in 1997.
Started playing the cello at the age of 11. In 2013 he was accepted at the Emesp Tom Job imin the São Paulo Conservatory where he studied until 2014.
In 2015 started tje Bachelor course at UNESP (Sao Paulo University), where was accepted in the class of Joel Souza
In 2016-2017 he took part the Pre College course at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Prof. Giovanni Gnocchi.
In Brazil he played in many orchestras such as: Orquestra sinfonica Jovem de São Paulo, Orqestra Jovem Tom Joobim, Orquestra Sinfonica Heliopolis and Orquestra Experimental de Repertorio.
Participated in the 2nd edition of the Ilumina Brazil chamber music festival with the coordination of violist Jeniffer Stumm in the presence of international soloists such as Giovanni Gnocchi, Sacha Soumm and Tay Murray.
In July 2017 he took part in the music festival in Worms, under the direction from Ramon Jaffé.
Anderson has lived in Linz, Àustria since 2017 and is studying at Anton Bruckner Private University (class: Andreas Pözlberger)
