Biography
The Japanese pianist Yuna Hotozuka started piano lessons at the age of five with Miyuki Daicho, followed by studies with Ryoko Watanabe and a bachelor's degree at the Toho College of Music in Tokyo with Iku Miwa, from which she graduated with honours in 2018. She is a laureate of several Japanese piano competitions (including 3rd prize at the 1st K Piano Solo Competition, 4th prize at the 9th Tokyo Piano Competition and 5th prize at the 11th Beten Music Competition). She attended master classes with Pascal Devoyon, Christopher Hinterhuber, Mikhail Voskresensky, Frantisěk Malý and Christoph Traxler, among others. Since 2019, she has been pursuing a master's degree in piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Wolfgang Watzinger, alongside correpetition with Meinhard Prinz and chamber music with Stefan Mendl.
