Biography

Taira Mingazova was born in 2010 and started her violin studies at the age of 6 in Musical School at Kazan State Conservatoire named after Nazib Zhiganov. She entered the school with top marks. Currently, she studies violin with Anna Misharina in the same school. 

She is a laureate of a number of international violin competitions, among them Josef Micka Violin Competition 2018 (Prague, 2nd prize), XIII International Bobylev Violin Competition 2018 (Ryazan, 2nd prize), XV International Young Musicians Competition in Central Musical School 2019 (Moscow, 2nd prize) and XIII International Grumiaux Competition for young violinists 2020 (Brussels, 1st prize), International Rudolf Barshai Strings Competition (2021, 3rd prize), Kreutzer International Music Competition (Brussels, 2021, 1st prize). Taira holds personal scholarships from “New Names” (“Novye Imena”) Foundation, headed by Denis Matsuev and “Rozum” Foundation.

She took part in masterclasses of Michael Vaiman, Petru Munteanu, Kurt Sassmashaus, Lena Mazor, Yury Zhislin, Maxim Fedotov, Nikita Borisoglebsky, Julia Igonina, Georgy Pauk and Itzhak Rashkovsky.

Taira performed with the Chamber Orchestra "New Music" of Sofia Gubaidullina Centre, the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chamber Orchestra "Sforzando" in Kazan, took part in Mozarteum Academy concert at Mozarteum Stiftung in Salzburg, in musical and modern dance performance “Vivaldi’s Four Seasons” at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She was invited to perform at 5th All-Russian Youth Festival “Musica Integral” in 2020 in Moscow.
