Biography
Anna Zaychenko was born in 1992 in Moscow and received her first piano lessons at the age of five. After attending the Moscow Chopin Children’s Music School she went on to graduate with distinction from the Moscow Chopin Music Colleague with Professor Maxim Philippov in 2011. Continuing her piano studies under the tutelage of Professor Maxim Philippov, Anna graduated in 2016 from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, while in parallel she completed the Master of Arts in Performance, the Master of Arts in Solo Performance and finally the Master of Arts in Pedagogy at the Lucerne School of Music, each with distinction.
Additionally, Anna Zaychenko participated in master classes of the most prominent pianists of the present such as Menahem Pressler, Robert Levin, Dmitrii Bashkirov, Jörg-Andreas Bötticher, Vladislav Bronevetzky, Andreas Staier, Laurent Boullet, Nicolas Hodges, Vladimir Tropp, Tatiana Zelikman and the swiss pianist Andreas Haefliger.
Anna Zaychenko is a participant of prestigious festivals such as Lucerne Festival and a laureate of international music competitions such as IV International M.Balakirev Piano Competition "Russian Music" (1st prize & Audience Award), Romantic Music Festival for Young Musicians from Moscow (1st prize & Special prize), International Piano Competition in Jaen, Spain (semifinalist, special prize concert engagements), 13è Concours d'Interprétation Musicale de Lausanne (2nd prize), International Piano Competition "Mauro Paolo Monopoli Prize", Italy (2nd prize, audience prize).
She has performed numerous solo recitals as well as chamber music concerts and appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras, including the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Argovia Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Pavel Slobodkin Moscow Orchestra and Kuban Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductors such as Vladimir Ponkin (Russia), Giuseppe Monopoli (Italy), Marc Kissoczy (Switzerland) and James Gaffigan (USA).
Since August 2020 Anna Zaychenko has been teaching her own piano classes at the Music School of the City of Lucerne as well as at the Music School of the City of Zug.
