Biography
Richard Bortolan, born in Vicenza in 2003, lives in Montecchio Maggiore and playfully approached music since he was a child. At the age of 13 he undertook the piano studies with professor Stefano Bettineschi at the music high school “A. Pigafetta” of Vicenza.
At the same time he's been admitted since October 2019 at the triennial-academic course in the piano class of maestro Riccardo Zadra at the Conservatory “A. Pedrollo” of Vicenza.
He is first and absolute first winner of numerous national and international piano competitions such as: "Schools in Music" in Verona (2017 and 2018 edition), "City of Garda 2018", "Young Talents Rovere D’oro 2018" in San Bartolomeo al Mare, “Ars Nova International Piano Competition 2018” in Trieste (with concert award at the G. Verdi theater of Trieste), “Città Murata 2018" in Cittadella (with concert award at the Social Theater of Cittadella), ”Best students of public and private schools affiliated with the Conservatory of Music of Vicenza 2019", “City of Piove di Sacco National Competition 2019", "City of Albenga 2019", “City of Barletta International Piano Competition 2020”, “City of Palmanova International Piano Competition 2021 – Prize Unesco” and finalist at the “Pescara’s National Arts Award 2021” representing the conservatory of Vicenza.
He also participated in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th edition of the "Piano Marathon", at the "XX Festival of Active Music" at Villa Contarini and was invited to perform as one of the “excellent performers” at the “Modern Hall of Palazzo Guarnieri” in Feltre.
Recently he graduated with maximum grades from highschool where, alongside the study of the piano, he was followed by professor Michele Fracasso in the study of singing as a baritone, and has performed as a soloist at the “Teatro Comunale” of Vicenza in June 2019.
