Biography

Jeri Lee is an eleven-year-old sixth-grader (born in 2009) Cello virtuoso attending Eonbuk Elementary School in Seoul, South Korea.  

Jeri has proven her musical excellence throughout numerous competitions including but not limited to, 2018 New York VIVO International Competition (String Division First Prize, Silver Overall Prize), 2018 Concert Artists International Concours (First Prize, Outstanding Performance Prize), 2018 Seoul Virtuoso Competition (First Overall Prize), 2019 David Popper International Cello Competition (First Prize), and 2020 France Music Competition (First Prize), DongA Junior Music Competition and SungJung Music Competition (First Prize) among others. She has also recently held a Solo Recital as part of Kumho Prodigy Concert series in addition to two other solo recitals.

She has also been invited to perform at the Asia Pacific Cello Congress as well as Suntory Hall in Tokyo.  Jeri has frequently been a prodigy feature on Korean National TV programs (KBS) and held performances at Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, and Carnegie Hall in New York.  She had also participated in master class sessions with greats such as Julia Lichten, Suren Bagratuni, Eric Kim, Isang Enders, Zlatomir Fung, Ophelie Gaillard, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and Kirill Rodin.  She is currently training and studying at the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts under Professors Kangho Lee and Jungran Lee.
