Biography
Luis Enrique Aguilar was born in 1992, in Estado de México, México. Since 2016, he has been the principal double bassist from the Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes - INBA. He graduated with honors at the National School of Music (UNAM) with Luis Antonio Rojas Roldán. He participated in the X Encuentro Latinoamericano de Contrabajos held in Tijuana, Baja California, under the direction of Andrés Martín, there he received master classes from Catalin Rotaru, Thierry Barbè, Donovan Stokes, Barry Green and Andrés Martín. In December 2013, he participated in the Double Bass Master Class taught by Maestro Andrzej Kalarus at the Escuela Superior de Música. At the National School of Music (UNAM), he participated as an active student in the double bass master classes taught by David Sinclair in March 2015 and in the masterclass given by Yuan Xiong Lu in April 2018.
