Biography
Born in 1996 in Shenyang, Yiheng Wang started playing the piano at the age of 4. A few years later, he moved with his family to Tokyo and continued his studies there with Yukio Yokoyama and Kentaro Kawata at Ueno Gakuen Junior High School. In 2014, he moved to Paris to improve his piano skills with Pierre Réach, then Judy Chin-Cottet and Romain Descharmes, where he studied at the CRR in Paris. Passionate about chamber music, he creates a piano / violin duo named Ryujia, and performs in concerts in France and China. Currently pursuing a course at the CNSMD in Paris in Emmanuel Strosser's class, Yiheng Wang was semi-finalist of the 2019 Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition, and he participated in January 2020 in Nantes in the complete Beethoven Sonatas given as part of La Folle Journée “Beethoven”,and at the Roque d'Anthéron festival. He took the Prix Coup de Cœur at the prestigious Concours International de Piano Clara Haskil in Switzerland in 2021.
