Biography
Chu-Heng Liao, born in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from Cologne Conservatory of Music and University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with master degree and got the Konzertexamen degree from Cologne Conservatory of Music.
Ms. Liao’s principal teachers include: Ms. Han-An Liu, Ms. Shannon Shuen Chieh and Ms. Chih-Chun Chang.
In 2007, Chu-Heng was the first prize winner at Taiwan National Harp Competition, and performed along with the first prize winner of Israel Harp Competition, Mr. Sivan Magen at National Recital Hall.
In 2008, she was selected as harpist of Asian Youth Orchestra, and toured extensively in Asia with the orchestra, and she was invited to perform in “Asia Harp Festival” at the same year.
In 2010, she was selected as “Focus on Youth” and performed at the 11th World Harp Congress in Vancouver. At the same year, she won the first prize of NTNU Concerto Competition and performed Harp Concerto with National Taiwan Normal University Symphony Orchestra.
In 2014 she was the Semi-Finalist at the Dutch Harp Competition.
In 2015 she was invited to perform in the 1st International Taiwan Harp
festival.
In 2016 she was invited to perform in “Acht Brücken Festival” in Cologne,
and “Hombroich Insel Music Festival” in Hombroich both in Germany.
In 2017 she was invited to perform in “Trier Music Festival” in Germany.
In 2018 she was as a soloist with Sondershausen Loh Orchestra to
perform Gliere Harp Concerto in Sondershausen Lohberg Concert Hall in Germany.
