Biography

ERIK BYURKLAND

I am 9 years old. I currently live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I started studying piano two and a half years ago, my current piano teacher being Oksana Tsarevska. 
 
Though my music journey is not that long, but, looking back at where I started, I see how much I have improved. It feels so great to be able to run the fingers over the piano keys creating a ripple of a melody through different beats, rhythms and harmony. I am always eager to explore more and I have made my first attempts in music composition. 
 
I have recently participated in a number of local and international music competitions. My achievements include but are not limited to:
·      Laureate III Diploma in European Talents 2020 International Music Competition (Hungary), 
·      III Prize in DANUBIA Talents International Music Competition 2020 (Hungary), 
·      2nd place in the Junior Category in Young Talent Music Competition 2020-2021 (Dubai, UAE), 
·      1st place in Crescendo International Youth Competition 2020-2021 (USA), 
·      1st prize in The International Distance Competition “Talents of Europe” (Spain), 
·      Honorable Mention in the XII Chopin International Piano Competition (USA)
·      2nd place in the 2nd International distance competition "Virtuoso" (Ukraine). 
 
It is an honour for me to participate in the 1st International Competition WORLDVISION MUSIC CONTEST. I am excited about the opportunity to listen to many talented young musicians from all over the world on the one hand and the chance to share my love for music with the international audience on the other! I’m looking forward to getting inspired by the participants to help me progress to another level of musicianship.
