Biography
Tallós Álmos (2003) started his studies with the harp at the age of nine, from 2017 to 2021 he was a student at the St. Stephen King Highschool of Music, where his teacher was Deborah Sipkay. In October 2021 he starts his academic studies in Hamburg, led by prof. Xavier de Maistre, and Anaëlle Tourret. After graduating and completing his academy training, his foremost objective will be to become an international solo harpist. In addition to performing, he writes his own harp arrangements and his primary musical influence comes from Jean-Michel Damase, Henriette Renie. He was an active participant in masterclasses of Maria Graf, Andrea Vígh, Isabelle Moretti, Manja Smits, Elisabeth Plank.
He participated in various harp competitions and received awards:
5th Hungarian National Harp Competition 2015, Special Award
4th International Harp Competition Szeged, 2016, U14, Special Award
6th Secondary National Music Schools Harp Competition, Budapest, 1st Prize
5th International Harp Competition Szeged, 2019, U19 1st Prize, and Weninger Richárd Special Prize
Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition, 2021, 1st Prize ( Platinum Medal)
6th Hong Kong International Harp Competition, 2021 Secondary II. category, Gold Medal
He performs regularly, both as a solo performer and as a part of orchestras. He is currently a member of the Szent István Philharmonics, and he performed Claude Debussy: Danse sacrée and profane in January 2021 with them. In August 2020, he gave a solo recital with great success at the XXII. Gödöllő International Harp Festival. He playes also as a guest member of the Hungarian National Philharmonics. Naturally, he receives regular requests to perform at various other music and social events, which he is very glad to accept.
