Biography
Sara D’Amico was born in Pescara, Italy on the 1st if April 2001. She was enchanted by the harp at the age of 7 and here began the greatest experience of her life. She started studying the harp with Maestro Lucia Antonacci in Città Sant’Angelo until she was 16 years old. During these times she met great harp players as Lisetta Rossi, Sasha Boldachev, Gabriella Dall’Olio, Park Stickney and Fabrice Pierre. She also had the proof that she was doing the right thing in life: she won many prestigious prizes in competitions as Suoni d’arpa, Marcel Tournier, Concours National de la Harpe, and others. At the age of 16 she won the admission at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon under the precious guide of Fabrice Pierre, Sylvain Blassel and Park Stickney. Here in France she could discover she had a great passion for orchestra: she won for two consecutive years the audition for the GMJO Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and could experience professional situations playing with the Opéra de Lyon and the Colibrì Ensemble in Italy.
Now she’s running the last year of Master in Lyon after she passed her Bachelor and she’s preparing her future as a harp player full of joy, motivation and ambition.
