Biography
Alfonso Rivera was born in Mexico City.
He started studying double bass in Escuela de Iniciación Artística No.4 in 2009.
In 2013 he started studying at the Faculty of Music of the University of Veracruz, graduating in 2017.
Alfonso has appeared as a soloist with the string chamber orchestra of the School of Artistic Initiation no. 4 at the Diego Rivera Mural Museum.
He has been a substitute for the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra and was a finalist in the Young Soloists Competition of the Symphony Orchestra of Xalapa in 2015 and 2017.
He participated in "Nuntempa: Music from centuries XX and XXI" festival in 2016 and 2017.
In 2019 he was selected to participate with the Orchestra of the Americas.
