Biography
Yusheng Gao, a master piano performance from the Royal Northern college of Music, was born in China in 1998. He began to learn piano at the age of 6, and successively learned from his father Wu Fang, a professor of the Piano Department of The Gao Huazhu Wuhan Conservatory of Music. In 2015, he was admitted to Wuhan Conservatory of Music with excellent results under the instruction of the young pianist Yang Xiaoyong. After that, He graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music with the first score in the whole grade, majoring in piano performance and choreographer. In 2019, He was admitted to the Royal Northern College of Music and won the lan Scott Award scholarship to study for a master’s degree in piano performance. During his postgraduate study, He was taught by the famous Chinese pianist Li Bingbing and the famous British pianist and chamber music master Frank Wibaut. In 2019, He worked as a piano teacher in St. Bridge Primary School in Manchester, UK, responsible for students’ initial piano learning, which was highly praised by students and teachers. During his school years, He participated in many competitions and won the second prize in the 2017 Melbourne International Youth Music Competition China Preliminary Competition, the second prize in the 5th KAWAI Asian Piano competition, and the Gold Medal in Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition.
