Biography
Doomin Kim began playing the piano at the age of 7. He was inspired by a Beethoven recital of great korean pianist Kun Woo Paik at age of 8 and finally at the age of 10, his love for the piano led him to make a decision to be a pianist, who can communicate with people and give special artistic experience as he received it by Kun Woo Paik.
At the age of 12, he participated in a Masterclass in Korea led by Michael Wladkowski. At that moment, Michael Wladkowski found directly Doomin Kim's talent, but as his was already passed the entrance audition of Academia Pianistica d'Imola in Italy, so he studieds in Italy with Dutch Professor for 1 year. And in 2016, during his travel in France, he had a lesson with Michael Wladkowski, at that time he was suggested by Michael Wladkowski to studying the piano in École Normale de Musique de Paris and he was selected in the ‘Young Talent’ Program by École Normale
In 2016 and again in 2019, he was introduced as a child musical prodigy by a TV show in Korea. In 2017, at the age of 14, he recorded a solo CD with the label Warner Classics and it was released at 2nd August 2019 in the world, this first album was introduced by the music magazine 'Gramophone', by 'France Musique', 'Radio Classique' and in many other countries and broadcasts in Korea, and it was selected ’10 Classical Albums of the Months’ by Applemusic.

An extract from a review of his first album in French.
In 2018, he was awarded the 2nd Prize of Primavera Pianistica Competition in Belgium, and also he reached the fianl stage of International competition ‘Piano à Mayenne’ in France. In December 2018, he made his debut in Korea with Donghyek Lim, a pianist, and Richard Yongjae O'Neil, a violist.
In 2019, he recorded 2 CD, a solo program and a 4 hand program with Guillaume Vincent, with the label Warner Classics for their ‘2020 Beethoven Complete Works’.
He had in Korea several professional activities such as press conferenceradio, podcasts and showcases etc. He had also a solo recital at Seoul Art Center.
He is always studying with Michael Wladkowski in École Normale de musique de Paris, now he is concentrating on studying a various and large repertoire.
