Biography

Eirik Stave, 16, comes from Ørsta in Norway. He has been playing the piano since he was 4 years old. He has loved performing with the piano since he was quite young, he has played with different groups and also served at church organs. At the age of 8, he participated in a television program in the Norwegian National Broadcasting, which led to the conducting of the Broadcasting orchestra, playing one of the Norwegian Dances by Grieg.

When he was 9 years old, he got a place on the talent development program "Young Musicians" at the University, NTNU, in Trondheim. He has received several scholarships and participated in various courses such as Valdres summer symphony and competitions such as the Youth Music Championship (UMM), the Youth Culture Festival (UKM) and Fjord Cadenza. From 13 years old, he has also got a place at the National Piano Initiative, by the Barrat Due Music Institut and the regional music institutions.

Eirik has also played with orchestras several times, playing both Haydn and Gershwin, and recently Grieg's A minor concerto, 1st movement, with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. Now he is ready to play all three movements with an orchestra.
