Biography
Iva Durkovic (2002) was born and raised in Montenegro. As a child, she played violin and participated in many competitions in the country, winning mostly 1st prizes. At 15 she started playing the viola. Since then, she's been on various competitions, festivals, masterclasses in Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Italy and has done solo recitals and concerts. She's worked with great musicians like Anton Martynov, Tony Sharroks, Fabio Sperrandio, Mikhail Bereznitsky, Graff Murge...
She's been a principal viola in orchestras - performing Beethoven's 7th symphony, Dvorak's Serenade for strings, Mozart's Uverture for the Marriage of Figaro, Tchaikovsky's Serenade for strings and many more.
In September this year, she is starting her Bachelor of Music programme at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, working with Prof. Matthew Jones.
