Biography
Fátima García Cabanelas
Pupil for seven years of Olga Semushina, who was professor at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, she completed her training with Galina Eguiazarova and Sergey Bezrodni.
She has also received advice from professionals such as Eldar Nebolsin, Grigory Gruzman, Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy, Stanislav Pochekin, Nino Kereselidze, Natalia Trull, José Ramón Méndez, James Giles, Dominique Weber and Luca Chiantore, among others.
She has participated in the Gijón International Piano Festival, in the XX Cajastur Music Week with “La Castalia” chamber ensembles and has also collaborated with the Principality of Asturias Symphonic Orchestra. She has given recitals at the Conservatories in Oviedo and Ourense, the Evaristo Valle Museum in Gijón, the Main Theatre of Ourense and the Philharmonic Theatre of Oviedo, performing as a soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Professional Conservatory of Music of the same city.
She is currently studying under the direction of Emilio Álvarez Cid, Olga Semushina's first disciple and teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Vigo.
