Biography
Silvia Capé was born in Milano in 2006.
She begins studying harp when she is eight years old with Prof.sa Simona Marchesi at Accademia Musicale Amadeus in Milan (Italy).
Thanks to an incredibly fast technical and musical growth, in only two years she is able to perform difficult pieces both in concerts and in competitions, achieving extraordinary results.
In 2016, at the age of 10, she starts achieving important results in Italian and International Competitions.
In March 2016 she ranks in the First Prize range at “Claudio Abbado Musical School Competition” in Milano in the category up to 12 years. In July 2016 she wins the First Prize at the “Young Talents International Competition” in San Bartolomeo al Mare (Italy) in the category up to 12 years and in September 2016 she wins the Third Prize at the International Harp Competition “Suoni d’Arpa” in Saluzzo (Italy) in the category up to 13 years.
Year 2016 ends with an important international result, she is one of the forty competitors at the International Harp Competition in Szeged (Hungary) in the category up to 14 years and, only ten years old, she wins the Second Prize.
In April 2018 she is the Winner of the Wales International Harp Competition held in Caernarfon (Wales) in the Junior Category.
In 2019 she participates to “Salieri International Competition” in Legnago (Italy) winning not only the first absolute prize, but also the special prize ‘Magnani Young’ and related scholarship. Few months later she wins the first prize at the ‘Tournier International Harp Competition’ in Cosenza (Italy).
Recently she has won the first absolute prizes at the ‘International Competition Casa delle Arti’ in Gorizia (Italy), at the ‘Amigdala International Competition’ in Catania (Italy) and at the 'Stresa International Competition' in Stresa (Italy).
In april 2021 she enters the final at the 'Glowing Harp International Competition' in Kharkiv (Ucraina) and wins the third prize.
She regularly performs as soloist, in duo with cello and as soloist with string orchestra in concerts within musical festivals and cultural events in Italy and she has performed in important venues in Milano such as Teatro dal Verme, Palazzina Liberty and Palazzo della Regione.
She also collaborated with the symphonic orchestra ‘Futurorchestra’ and the ‘Piccoli pomeriggi musicali’ orchestra based in Dal Verme Theatre in Milan.
She is member of sHarp4, a harp quartet founded in 2019, which regularly performs in concerts in important venues.
