Biography
Anuschka Pedano (2000) received her first violin lesson at the age of seven. But inspired by the beautiful Romanze for viola by Max Bruch and the wonderful, warm sound of the viola, she changed to viola and started her lessons with Julia Dinerstein.
Anuschka has received 1st prizes at multiple competitions amogst which the Britten Viola Concours (2015), the international competition ‘Concours Européen pour jeunes solistes (2015) and the Dutch national music competition the ‘Prinses Christina Concours’ (2017). In 2016 she received the Classic Young Master Award including a scholarship and individual coaching for two years.
Since September 2016 she has been a member of the international string ensemble “the LGT Young Soloists”, with whom she has given solo performances at important concert halls and festivals in Europe and Asia. In January 2018 she recorded the “Serenade for viola and orchestra” from Edvard Fliflet Braein for their CD “Nordic Dreams” and in January 2019 the Romanze for viola by Max Bruch for the label Sony Music.
Anuschka is regularly invited to (international) festivals like the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, the international chamber music festival Winteravonden aan de Amstel, the Wonderfeel Festival, Klassiek op het Amstelveld, Kamermuziekfestival Schiermonnikoog, the Spivakov festival and the Fränkische Musiktage in Frankfurt.
She has worked with orchestras like Sinfonia Rotterdam directed by Conrad von Alphen- where she performed with Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Domestica Rotterdam, Ciconia Consort and the Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine.
Anuschka plays a 1877 Gand & Bernadel Frères viola kindly on loan from the Dutch Musical Instrument Foundation and is currently studying with Michael Kugel at the Conservatorium Maastricht.
