Gustavo Rebelo

Biography

Currently studying with António Pereira in the University of Aveiro, Gustavo Rebelo was born on the 21st November 2001. He started his studies at 8 years old at the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music, in Aveiro.

Currently he attends Professor William Coleman’s (Kuss Quartet) class, at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. He has also frequently received important artistic imputs by Professor Ana Bela Chaves.

Gustavo has participated in several national and international music competitions, having received honors such as the 1st prize in the “Golden Classical Music Awards” (USA), along with an invitation to play at the Weill Recital Hall, the 1st prize in the 9th National Paços’ Premium Competition (Portugal), the 2nd prize in the 8th Vigo International Strings Competition (Spain), the 2nd Prize in the Viola category of the ‘Verão Clássico’ Festival Academy Awards, among others.
