Rodrigo de Oliveira
Born in Taubaté (São Paulo), Rodrigo de Oliveira joined Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra in 2010, at the age of 19. He has performed as soloist and concertmaster with Camerata Zajdenbaum, Taubaté Youth Symphony Orchestra, Ouro Preto Orchestra, Atibaia Symphony and São José dos Campos Symphony Orchestra.
He has attended masterclasses with Augustin Hadelich, Rachel Barton Pine, Vadim Gluzman, Charles Stegeman, Clara Takarabe, Roberto Díaz, Misha Keylin, I-Hao Lee, Blair Milton, Alexander Kagan and Shlomo Mintz.
He began his violin studies at Maestro Fego Camargo Municipal School of Arts, in the class of Professor Jefferson Denis. He continued his education with Professor Elisa Fukuda, in São Paulo, and graduated in Music at the Metropolitan University of Santos, in 2018.
Mr. Oliveira is one of the main characters of the Brazilian orchestral documentary Prova de Artista. He was awarded prizes with the Minas Gerais Symphony Orchestra Young Soloists Competition (2016) and the Goiânia Symphony Young Soloists Competition (2017.)
His performances and recordings on digital and social media are highlighted by their high technical and artistic level, stimulating an enjoyable concert music experience. Mr. Oliveira has performed works written by several composers for solo violin and plays regularly as both chamber musician and soloist.
