Arsenii Gazizov was born in 1999. In 2005, at the age of six, he started playing violin and in 2006 was accepted into the Secondary Special Music School (SSMS) of Saint Petersburg Conservatoire where he switched to a double bass in 2014 (a class of an Honoured Artist of Russia Alexander Shilo). In 2017 he graduated from SSMS and was enrolled into a double bass department of Saint Petersburg Conservatoire named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov into a class of an Honoured Artist of Russia Alexander Shilo.

Arsenii participated in many masterclasses with the world’s leading double bass players such as Alberto Bocini, Sergey Brinums, Michael Kekshoev, Enrico Fagone, Grigory Krotenko, Alexander Belskij, Alexander Michno, Dorin Marc, Igor Eliseev, Artem Chirkov, Grigory Machoshvili.

Since 2016 he has been playing in The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, led by an established violist and composer Yuri Bashmet, since 2017 Arsenii has been a leader of the double bass section of that orchestra.

In 2016 he undertook an internship with Juilliard School’s professor E. Levinson (USA).

Since 2018 Arsenii has been employed as a double bass player by MichailovskyTheathre of Saint Petersburg. He actively performs at various concert halls and at different concert venues.

In 2019 he had workshops with Christine Hoock, Catalin Rotaru, Thierry Barbé and Rick Stotijn at The International Rhodius Academy for Double Bass.

Since 2019 he is a participant of Saint Petersburg Music House programs.

In February 2020 he was a participant of master classes with Yan Krigovsky in Sochi.

In March 2020 he has won the first prize at the “Young Virtuosos of Russia” competition in Rostov On Don.

In May 2020 he took part in the “Pirastro Elite Soloists” program and had master classes and lessons with Jeffrey Bradetich and Aaron Olguin.

in the summer of 2020 received the second prize in the category "virtuosos" at the international "double bus online quarantine challenge"
