Biography
Laura Reicher was born in 2000 in Landsberg am Lech in Germany.
She received her first piano lesson with Prof.Maximilian Hofbauer. Later she moved to Nürnberg, where she continued her lessons with the well known piano teacher Julia Goldstein, daughter of famous violinist Boris Goldstein. From March 2016 she changed to the pre-college program of Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg into the class of the concert pianist Prof. Wolfgang Manz, with whom she studied till July 2018.
Since October 2018 Laura has been a student of Prof.Pavel Gililov at the renowned University Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
At the age of 9 Laura started to participate in competitions, and after a short time she won several prizes in national and international solo and chamber music competitions, including two first prizes in the German National Competition ,,Jugend Musiziert” in 2014 (piano solo) and 2016 (duo piano & flute). After that she was awarded with five prizes at the International ,,Münchener Klavierpodium” piano competition.
Other prizes were awarded to Laura in the International Anton Rubinstein competition 2017 in Düsseldorf for the best interpretation of a piece by Robert Schumann and one year later second prize in the International Robert Schumann Piano Competition for young pianists in Zwickau.
In the meantime Laura received many invitations to perform in various countries, including Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium and Italy.
Furthermore, Laura was invited to play at festivals and master classes. In 2017 Laura participated in the Piano Music Festival in Bolzano, Italy where she gave a solo recital in the famous Palazzo de Mercantile. During this festival she worked together with established and famous pianists like Sofia Gulyak, Jura Margulis, Ayano Shimada, Gabriele Baldocci, Christiano Burato and others.
In 2018 Laura won a scholarship for a chambermusic master class in Berlin at Schloss Neuhardenberg under the leadership of the world famous cellists Jan Vogler and Antti Sirrala.
For her musical achievements Laura was honoured with the ,,Leonard und Ida Wolf Gedächtnispreis 2019” of the city of Nürnberg, which is only awarded every two years.
