Biography
Belle Ting was born in Taiwan, and grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She commenced her violinistic studies at the age of seven, and currently studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Dora Schwarzberg.
Among her accolades include First Prize in the International Cooper Violin Competition 2015, Second Prize and two special prizes at the 24. International Johannes Brahms Competition 2017. In 2018 she was the youngest finalist and prizewinner of the International Isaac Stern Violin Competition: In the same year, she took part in the Verbier Festival as part of their renowned Festival Academy.
In 2020, she won Third Prize, Prize for the Best Interpretation of the Song Poem by Khatchaturian, and the Audience Award at the 16th International Khatchaturian Violin Competition.
As winner of the Audience Award, she will be making her debut with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra in the 2021/2022 season.
Belle has collaborated with orchestras including the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Gdansk, Moscow State Philharmonic, Odense Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and the INSO-Lviv and her performances have been in numerous radio, television and digital broadcasts, including ORF "Licht ins Dunkel, Classic FM Taiwan, WCLV1049, medici.tv among others.
Belle currently performs on an Ansaldo Poggi violin from 1968 on loan from a private sponsor.
